Survival of the......well, mass effect two raid?

ok...WTF , im pretty sure that my team mates weren't supposed to die few being, legion, thane, and jack, thane being the worst death and considering the fact that every one is loyal except for miranda but .... my question is - how do I make it with all of team intact during that ship raid after i travel through the omega 4 relay
