What happens after the test in driver ed?

Im in the adult class in drivers ed, and i had meant to ask this question when i was paying and signing my paper work, but there was a long line, so i didnt want to ask to many questions. But im taking my test this week, and i was wondering what happens after that. i know i take my results up to the dmv, but do i get a permit? a license? do i need to continue the classes? im going to alpha omega, if that helps any....i know im asking a lot of questions, but i need to know what to expect after i take my test, so i know if i need to ask for more days off at work
