Making smoothies is definitely going to help you eat fruit and if you like strawberries try adding them to other fruit smoothies to disguise the taste of the fruit you don't like. You may find that over time you will actually get to like other fruits by doing it this way. You don't have to eat fruit raw to get the benefit and maybe you will find the taste better if it's cooked. For instance I'm not keen on bananas but love banana custard. You don't say anything about liking or disliking vegetables because if you like vegetables you can try eating more of them instead of fruit. I've just started eating roasted vegetables and they are wonderful. I use olive oil to cook them in and not very much of that so they are still really healthy.Also make soups with vegetables, home made soups are great and so easy to make.

Well before the start of my senior year I decided I wanted to enlist in the Navy. The only problem was that I was about 60 lbs overweight. My mind was set on the Navy so I decided to try and lose some weight..In about 9 months I have lost close to 50 pounds by pure diet and exercise. I didnt do any hardcore cardio or dumb shortcuts..I just ate healthier and went to the gym 3-5 times a week..all I did was the elliptical and ab workouts such as scissor kicks, crunches, and sit ups. I am proud to say that I am almost at my goal and I wont stop until my goal is reached.

1991 Ford Explorer Transmission Problems?

1991 Ford Explorer automatic tranny problems. I drove it home yesterday and went to leave just few hours later and it would not move. Now it does have drive and reverse but only at a idle, give it gas and the engine just over Reeves. The oil level is great and is not burnt. Any ideas????

A question for parents: Would most of you be concerned if your child dated a much older person?

I am 20, I look 17 and my boyfriend is 32 and looks his age, this annoys my parents to no end. Anyone actually try the purity omega 3 supplements?

I've tried Nordic Naturals and some others, but the one I stick with is made by Nature Made that I get at the grocery store. Hi, I had receantly gotten a blood test done. When I went to see my results my doctor had pointed out to me and my parents that my Cholesterol level is slightly high (not by much, but a bit high) and he recommended me to take some medication. He had prescribed me 120 capsules of Lovaza which I have to take 1 times a week, but this worries me because I am only 15 (in 1 week i will turn 16) and that I feel this is not a good sign. I am slightly overweight as well, but I play baseball, workout and also do a lot of jogging and my doctor says the reason for my overweight problem most defenitally looks like a genetics thing so its something not to really stress about. But one thing though i found wrong was during the day of my blood test, I had ate a corn muffin and 12 oz of Chocolate Milk and then I had tooken the test which I wonder if it has anything to do with making my blood reports void or such. I searched online Lovaza it just looks like some capsule with Fish Oil (Omega-3-acid ethyl esters). My main question is, should I take these medications and if I do will it be for lifetime? or temporary? I really am nervous and my parents really expect me to take care of this problem effectively. I'm allergic to salmon, should I be taking omega 3?

Omega 3 is a fish (salmon) oil. When I eat salmon, my throat swells and it makes it hard to swallow. The omega 3 vitamin is a gel capsule, and bypasses the throat completely by being swallowed.

Why Couldn't God AND Jesus BOTH be the "Alpha, and the Omega?

They can both be Alpha and Omega but you can't have two alpha and omegas if one came after the other, if Jesus was created by the Father how can he be the beginning since he wasn't in the beginning.

What the hell do women see in tall men (who are hardly attractive)?

I acknowledge how certain movie stars, like Gregory Peck, Jeff Goldblum, Anthony Perkins, Clint Eastwood, Ted Danson, Will Ferrell, Chevy Chase, Clark Gable, Christopher Reeve and, to a lesser extent, Gary Cooper come off as terribly attractive and rugged even if they are rather too tall, gangly, lanky or, in the case of beefy types, imposing. I've found that in real life that tall men just seem so damn awkward and scrawny. Do you mean to tell me that tall guys don't seem too scrawny, dorky and clumsy a lot of times? Women seem so damn shallow even though it's men who should be focused more on looks and sex. I think women are getting to be immoral bitches who look down on short men. Actually, there are plenty of shorter men in real life but the media would have you believe that guys are, uh, at least six inches taller than women. Sometimes, I don't know what women see in men at all. Men look like stupid beasts, especially when they have facial hair. Furthermore, they often have bird legs and, in the case of fatter men, their guts are too big for their bodies. I also think a lot of men exaggerate their height. Women stopped wearing high heels frequently, while men continue to do so. At any event, most tall men are ugly from what I've seen. Tall soldiers and cops aren't so ugly, mind. Perhaps it's an ego thing. For women. They want to see who can date the tallest men. Unfortunately, tall men are enormously more likely than shorter guys to be seen with a chick and that's a bloody fact.

No one has answered me! Pregnant or BC side effect?

Hi, so I have tried asking this on 3 other forums (WebMD, a pregnancy one, and ehealth) and NO ONE will even answer. I don't have any one to talk to because I just moved 600miles away from home....I am possibly just worrying too much and my boyfriend has gotten this into my head of being pregnant. I am 20, and living with my boyfriend. I have been on Gianvi (Yaz generic) for 2 months now. We are sexually active, and don't use a back up method of birth control. I know, not the smartest, but we also wouldn't mind having a baby if it happens. For 2 weeks now I am nauseated every time I try to eat, so I'm ALWAYS hungry but at the same time I eat a few bites and feel like I stuffed myself. Every night starting around 8pm it gets worse and as the later it gets, especially worse when I try to go to sleep, but have not actually thrown up. Sorry for this bit of info, but I have had to pee a lot, been a little constipated and very gassy (sorry!) We eat the same as we always have. I cook and we never eat fast food. Starting yesterday it is tender and hurts around my nipples, and my veins are more pronounced. I am also pretty moody. I don't know my ovulation days because my pills messed me up and I had a 6 day period, 2 days off, and another 4 day period. I am expecting the next within a week or so, so I can't really test yet. I didn't have any of these issues in my first month of using the pill, so why would it just now set in? My boyfriend isn't mad if I am....he is actually very excited and supportive. The main reason I am even on the pill is because my PMDD causes horrible cramps and irregular cycle, so this is to help with those things. My mom started getting sick the day after she conceived me, so early signs wouldn't be unusual.

Because pretty much all religions have the same philosphy at heart they just use different WORDS to describe it....Matrix could be seen as an internal struggle between the ego and the true self ..which is very Buddhist. Transmission is not up shifting like it should?

its a 2002 audi a4 1.8t 5 speed auto, i don't know if its just the way the car is, or if trans has a problem particular between gears 2-5, at it is reeving at just above 2000 in 3rd and feels like it should be in higher, and at 45mph same rev still in 4th, the reason why it doesn't seem like the car always did this, It is NOT in sport mode either, if anyone has a a4/pas sat/jetta with this engine is it normal or something wrong should i get it checked

How to lose a stubborn pot belly.?

How do I control my emotions?

I got out of an abusive relationship about two years ago, but I still feel the anger and pain. It wont go away! I used to cut and that helped it subside, but because that is unhealthy I stopped. Now I'm so angry and so sad all at once. Rather than cut I write insults about myself allover my arms to " keep my ego in check". I feel like I'm going off the deepend. Having problems streaming video?

As for new songs, Cartel has an EP out as of '10, so ehh, sorta new. Cute is What We Aim For is disbanded, so no more new music from them. I think you'd like A Hero En Route, which is a relitively obscure band, but still really good. Also (even though they aren't new) Zox is also a good band in these lines. Anberlin is a great band, but I personally don't like their newest album as much as the rest. Also, Bibio just came out with a new album yesterday! About the movie Somewhere In Time...?

This is a fictional, but well acted movie made in 1980, with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. If you have seen this movie, did you wonder where the actual beginning was. Was it when the young man first saw the picture of the young lady and then went back in time to 1912 and first met her, or could it have started a different way ? I asked this because at the beginning of the movie , the young man did not remember anything about what happened with his adventure back in time, but the old lady ( who was the same young one in 1912) remembered him right away and walked over to him to give him the gold watch that he gave her in 1912. Where exactly did it all start, it was a circle that had a sad ending but not a precise beginning, or at least didn't seem to. What are your thoughts ? Thanks.

I have been taking a mutivite supplement at breakfast for many years and I also take omega 3 1000mg in the evening plus I eat foods like wheatgerm and crushed linseed and similar high value items and what I have read is that regular strength multivites are fine but some super high strength vitamin tablets can lead to side effects depending on the person and the particular vitamin they are overloading on. I have also read from some sources that mutivites do not help if you are on a balanced diet amd I have read that since most of us do not have a perfectly correct and balanced diet regular strength multivites are a good idea. I think that what you are taking is fine and not overloading.

Questions about being a vegetarian?

Okay so i'm 15, starting to get a little bit overweight not obese, found out that meat gives you too much proteins than what your body needs and growing up you can develop cancer. i appreciate that i have found out all of that stuff when i'm still young as i wouldn't like to grow up with diseases and cancer, I read about vegetarianism and the advantages of it, I usually eat a lot of chicken but I don't admire chicken or love it so much, meat also is not necessary . and recently I have found out that they are slaughtering animals illegally in my country , not necessarily all meats but there was a video leaked of them hitting the cow on its head and then slaughtering the poor animal, also they kill animals in front of each other which in my religion is considered forbidden as animals also have feelings, and my aunt lives in the country side and grows her own food including chicken, and seeing her slaughter a chicken (legally) but the chicken was resisting and it looked awful, so I think being a vegetarian is good for me and not really that hard except for fish :\ fish is my favorite meat and the healthiest comparing to red meat and chicken (it has omega fats which are healthy and B12 vitamins) , and actually i like it because eating fish gives me nutrients that help my body and my hair too! I don't eat it regularly so maybe 2-3 times a month maximum and sometimes we can spend 3 months or so without fish so I don't eat it that regularly but turning into a vegetarian would be good unless mum decides to cook fish, okay i'm so talkative, bottom line .... if i eat fish would that be called semi-vegetarianism or what? I don't want to walk around saying i'm vegetarian because what matters to me is that I don't want to eat meat from a tortured poor animal and also for health reasons, are there vegetarians who eat fish? if so, what are they called?

Why is it every time i try to eat healthy i am told its not?

Underweight and No Period?

I already know I'm underweight, but I've been underweight all my life and never had any problems with fainting/dizziness, etc. I weigh 80-87 pounds and am 5'4" (might be 5'5"). I'm 14 years old and am often put in high-stress environments due to the type of school I go to (finals this week, yay!). This may seem like an awkward add-on, but I heard I won't get my period if I'm underweight and I haven't had my first one yet, so could my weight be the cause? I'm a vegan, but I do get all the necessary vitamins and minerals. I take a multi-vitamin serving every morning and 2 tablespoons of flaxseed oil for Omega-3s. I do exercise by walking for 30 minutes a day and moderate cardio and mild lifting every other day, except weekends. The question is: do I need to gain weight and if so, how would I do it in the best way possible?

Old Lego Racing Flash Game?

I remember this racing game I used to play on lego.com It was years ago and I can't seem to find it. It was just a flash game, and no it wasn't the Lego Racer one where you go around the toy store. You got your lego car and you could upgrade and get different cars. Then you could put on weapons and stuff. You didn't control the actual racing, but it would like go through different cinematics. Im worried about my opaline gourami.?

a few days ago i added a male opaline gourami to my 30g tank. it was shy and didnt eat anything that day so i just let it be. the next day it wouldnt eat anything i gave it. flake, small pellets, micro pellets, bloodworm, algea disk, and even tried frozen blood worm. i have tiger barbs in the tank with it and they have left it alone. the color of my gourami is nice and bright better than at the petstore. same with all my tigers. i was thinking my tigers were eating all the food and not letting my gourami eat. thats why i tried the small pellets. they are too big for the tigers to get in their moulths so they cant eat all the food. all this food was either omega 1 or hikari. the store fead this fish omega 1. i also had some snails in the tank that have vanished i think the gourami ate them, and live plants. im not too worried about the wealfare of the fish right now cause the color is good but later that might change any ideas?

Raf regiment question?

Not really sure about most of the stuff about how long it takes for things to happen but i thought i'd answer a few questions. Being in the scouts probably wont have any effect on your application, only to the extent that you may utilise many of the skills its given you. In terms of differences between the RAF Regiment and the Royal Marines, yes their primary role is to guard RAF assets at home and in the field, this does not mean that they never see action, they saw a lot of fighting and came under attack a lot in their attempts to make Kandahar safe, but i certainly wouldn't have thought you'de see anywhere near the same amount of action with them as you would in the Royal Marines, unless you are placed in one of the small units within the regiment that support special forces operations.

1980's dinosaur special with stop-motion animation and Christopher Reeves?

Back in the 1980's my parents taped a dinosaur special off of TV. It was narrated by Christopher Reeves and included stop-motion animation (or possibly claymation) segments depicting dinosaurs. It was my favorite documentary for the longest time growing up, but the VHS has long since deteriorated and I doubt my parents even HAVE the copy anymore. Any idea what the NAME of this documentary was called? I'd like to look it up in case there's a copy floating around somewhere. Thanks!!

If I can't lift much weight the first few times deadlifting, does it mean I am not naturally very strong?

I am a 36 year old guy who is 5'8" and weigh about 171 pounds. For the past two years every other day I have been doing pull ups (5 sets of 10), push ups (75), planks, sit ups (50), leg lifts (50), bodyweight squats (30), and bodyweight lunges (24). I recently heard that deadlifting is the truest test of strength. So I tried to deadlift for the first time almost four weeks ago and was embarrassed and humiliated. I only started out at about 120 pounds (3 sets of 8 reps)! The next week I was doing 135 (three sets of 8 reps)! Then, just recently, in my last deadlifting session I was only doing sets of 145 pounds and it felt somewhat heavy. There are bone skinny 105 pound and 110 pound women on youtube who are doing 300 pounds! And even the females who are new to deadlifting are all doing about 200 pounds in their first few weeks. There was this one tiny bone skinny 105 woman in particular who started out deadlifting 115 pounds and then a month later she maxed at 180 pounds! It has been over three weeks for me and I probably couldn't do 160! What is wrong with me!? Am I just naturally an extremely weak man? Why was my starting weight so much lower than everyone else's? Most women on youtube can do 150 pounds or more their first time deadlifting. People in forums say you should easily be able to deadlift your weight the first time. I can't do near that and I am an athletic guy. Even if I haven't been doing deadlifts, I have been doing bodyweight squats and lunges for the past two years. So, the fact that I am so extremely weak at the deadlift is a red flag that something is not right. I studied real hard and I learned how to do proper form in the deadlift, too. I am getting proper rest in between deadlifting sessions, too. The problem here is lack of strength. My grip is definitely strong enough because of the pull ups I did. Most people (especially women) can deadlift a lot but they have problems with the grip but the grip is not my problem. My problem is that I might have the weakest lower back and glutes and leg muscles of any man in the world. This is humiliating! I keep thinking, "Is something wrong? Why am I so naturally weak? No grown man at my weight is this weak. Do I have cancer or something?"

I can understand their bitterness because some men have been oppressive to women throughout history. However, I also learned that there is a growing mens movement backlash of angry bitter men who fight for Mens Right(MRA"S) and issues like "Father's rights, and call some women bad names like "goldiggers" As a spiritual male, who beleieves in the oneness of Humanity that we are all human beings regardless of race and gender, Why cant men and women unite and realize we are all human thers good and bad in all and men and women need each other.We are differently wired but we should appreciate our differences and our masculine and feminine gender traits complement and help each other.Men and women should love each other and this included feminists and Mra's.Stop the gender hating theres too much wars in the world already between races and countries,we do not need a gender war. You've been working out regularly for two yars. You're not weak. Those women on Youtube have been practicing for a while before filming themselves, I'm sure. Just stick with it, start at lower weights, and work yourself up. You can do it. :)

Okay, I was trying to access some pages for my summer school assignment, and my computer went through one of those windows autmatic updates. I wasn't there to postpone it, so when i got back it had restarted itself. I went and logged in normally, and to my surprise it won't let me load some sites. These are sites I'd regularly visit. My online summer school class, a writing site, forums I post on, etc etc. They just won't load. It will load other pages like facebook, yahoo, etc. The internet browser tries to switch into compatibility mode, but it doesn't work. I switched over to google chrome which i have but never used and the same thing happened. Okay, I'm like something is REALLY wrong. There was no system restore point for me to go back to, and this problem is still happening while I am in safemode with networking. Now, I'm scared, and don't know what to do. This computer doesn't belong to me, its my grandmother's, and I'm using it to do my summer school which it won't let me get to. I need to know what's going wrong, because I'm on the verge of crying this second. I really need to know if something happened to the internet or my computer since my ipod is able to look at those pages fine. Please someone help me, soon. I don't know what to do; I'm seventeen and this is basically my grandmother's lifeline to her friends. Please, I need help!
